Warrenton, VA - December 10, 2018 - The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics announces the results of the 2018 Bodies in Motion Race event to raise money for community non-profits. As previously announced, the event collected approximately $55,000 for local, established 501c3 organizations that serve their communities. Twenty-five recipient organizations received funding and more than 80 business sponsors contributed funds to make this possible. More than 200 people attended the give-back event at Alwyngton Manor in Warrenton on Wednesday evening, December 5, where these checks were presented.
“We are especially grateful to our many event sponsors who generously committed the bulk of these funds in order for us to give back the way we do,” says Jill Smith, race coordinator and Manager at Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center. “We enjoy working with them, as they all represent businesses in the community, and it is nice to work towards a common goal together - helping others.”
