The Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Foundation in Warrenton recently donated 2,800 food and toiletry items to those in need. The foundation began collecting items and cash donations in August.

Thanks to employee/patient donations from the Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center, Dominion Internal Medicine, Fauquier ENT & Urological Associates of the Piedmont, The Warrenton Aquatic Facility and Linton Hall School, the foundation received $1,455 and 1,600 food and non-food items. The money went to purchase 1,200 additional nonperishable food items. All the items went to the Fauquier Food Coalition, the Haymarket Food Pantry and the Marshall School Lunch Program. “Our staff, patients and community collaborators are kind-hearted and wonderful,” Blue Ridge Orthopaedic CEO Jeff Hollis said. “Without them, we could not accomplish our goal of giving back to those most in need. It’s such a good feeling to know families will have food on the table this Thanksgiving.” All local food pantries need of donations on an ongoing basis, especially during the holidays.
