The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics
People are the center of any community.
Meeting community need is an effort for many hands.
These needs often go unmet.
Who fills the gap?
The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics strives to do its part.
We care about the people in our community.

The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics was established in 2012 as Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Foundation, and renamed in 2018. This 501c3 is governed by a Board of community members and physicians, and is the non-profit arm of Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center. Over the last seven years, The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics has raised approximately $270,000 for local non-profits that serve the community. With a heart for helping Fauquier and surrounding counties, The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics supports non-profits who better the communities that Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center serves. Be it a recreational sports scholarship for underprivileged youth, mental health care for a person in need, housing for the homeless, or meals for a large unemployed family, The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics fills the gap by donating thousands of dollars every year to the non-profits who have their hands in the local community.

Bodies in Motion 5k/10k Race

A letter from The Foundation of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics on 10/13/2020:
To our dearest community non-profits and race supporters.
We are not holding a race this year, and will not be holding an appreciation celebration in 2020 either. And, due to Covid-19, we had to cancel our spring non-profit summit as well. We hope to reinstate all of these events next year.
You are welcome to submit applications if you have them already completed, but note they are not on a first come first serve basis, so there is no rush. That email would be marketing@broava.com or jsmith@broava.com.
Covid-19 has really taken a hit on small businesses across the world. We are fortunate that our practices are still serving patients and we are recovering from the surgery moratorium earlier this year. Thank you to our patients who we continue to serve!
But, our resources and our budgets have been affected. Due to the ever present threat of Covid, we decided a couple of months ago that a race would not be possible this year.
Thank you for your continued support. We are thrilled that our Foundation has gained visibility in these communities that we hold dear. We look forward to serving your non-profits again soon.
